We spotted the ocean at the head of the trail
Where are we going, so far away
And somebody told me that this is the place
Where everything’s better, everything’s safe
Walk on the ocean
Step on the stones
Flesh becomes water
Wood becomes bone
And half and hour later we packed up our things
We said we’d send letters and all those little things
And they knew we were lying but they smiled just the same
It seemed they’d already forgotten we’d came
Now we’re back at the homestead
Where the air makes you choke
And people don’t know you
And trust is a joke
We don’t even have pictures
Just memories to hold
That grow sweeter each season
As we slowly grow old

PS2 Game: Area 51
Played this game for about 40 minutes yesterday and I ended up dreaming about aliens. I don't think I'm very far into the game yet but so far I like it. I'm enjoying the storyline and the missions.
There's a part where you have to grab a security guards severed arm from the floor. There's a scanning device at the door and you have to put the palm of the hand on the scanner.. that's how it identifies the person. I used the severed hand to enter the room. That's nothing, it gets better.
The noise effects are crazy and the way mutants jump out at you from dark corners is scary. It's very bloody and graphic. The graphics are fantastic. I can only compare it to Silent Hill because I can't think of any other game that has made me jump as much.

Oh my god.
A forgotten workshop of Leonardo da Vinci, complete with 500-year-old frescos and a secret room to dissect human cadavers, has been discovered in Florence, Italy, researchers said on Tuesday.

All endings are also beginnings
On ABC they are showing Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I love the book, hopefully the movie is just as good. Go watch it! It's on right now!
Eddie is a wounded war veteran, an old man who has lived, in his mind, an uninspired life. His job is fixing rides at a seaside amusement park. On his 83rd birthday, a tragic accident kills him as he tries to save a little girl from a falling cart. He awakes in the afterlife, where he learns that heaven is not a destination. It's a place where your life is explained to you by five people, some of whom you knew, others who may have been strangers. One by one, from childhood to soldier to old age, Eddie's five people revisit their connections to him on earth, illuminating the mysteries of his "meaningless" life, and revealing the haunting secret behind the eternal question: "Why was I here?

Tengo tu sonrisa
-Tete

Beach Cleanup
I've decided to participate in this fall's beach cleanup. The trash at the beach last time I visited was disgusting.
I don't mean to be a party pooper, have fun and all.. but clean up after yourselves. Beer cases and glass bottles were left all along the sand. Kids play there, people walk and jog along the water, and could easily step on the glass. Also, tire damage. How frustrating to get a flat out there on the beach. Sure the tide scooped up some of the trash into the water too.
I'll be there and I'll be sure to take pictures.

I still want to read the book.
I went out to see "The Notebook" last night. It's such a beautiful love story. It was three of us and the movie made all of us cry. I liked this movie a whole lot more than "Love Actually".
The Notebook reminded me of my Alzheimer patients and it made me feel so sad. What a terrible disease. Give me cancer, diabetes, or any other disease, but not alzheimers. I'd hate to lose my memories.

An amazing "young" man with a good heart
"In August 2004, I will swim the English Channel at age 70. Your generous donations to this extreme challenge will help to build a brighter future for the children of Haiti" - George Brunstad
A few hours ago, he completed his mission. Success! He was able to raise over $11,000, which will be used to build an orphanage, a medical center and schools in Hinche, a city in Haiti. What a wonderful man.

Smile
me queda cantar
cantare, hasta morir
hasta verte sonreir
donde estes te cantare, solo a ti
cantare hasta morir
hasta verte sonreir
donde estes te cantare, solamente a ti

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
Want to see where your KFC chicken comes from?
Then Click Here: http://www.peta.org/feat/moorefield
Warning: This video contains clips of animal cruelty.
--------
I understand the organization PETA and I respect their mission. But, I don't think I'd be a good member if I joined.
I am for animal testing, and the use of animals in laboratories - for research/science. I am not for killing animals for wear(fur coats). Although, I think I'm being kinda biased, because I like zoos. Zoos would fall in the 'animals for entertainment' category I think? When I was little I always looked forward to the circus, we'd all go. I don't mind animals for enertainment, as long as they are being well taken care of, and not mistreated. Hmmm...

Si me tocan tus manos, mi mundo es diferente.
El poder de tus manos:
es poder infinito
es la luz que que no muere al final de un camino
si me tocan tus manos, vivo nuevamente y me subes muy alto y no dejas caerme.

Laughter IS the best medicine
An adorable two year old(Amy's little girl) just told me off. I think I annoyed her real bad because she started screaming, "LEAVE ME ALONE!" :'D

Entire 23-acre lake vanished in a matter of days
Hah! That would've freaked me out too if I had lakefront property. I'd rather live by the ocean though or up in the mountains. California would be perfect, only I'm afraid of earthquakes. Especially with all the stuff I've heard/read about the "Big One" hitting soon.
Then again, I'm on the coast of Texas, and hurricanes come by here all the time.. so hmmm.
Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Hurricanes...
"UCLA geologist Vladimir Keilis-Borok predicted earlier this year that a magnitude 6.4 or greater earthquake could hit the desert by Sept. 5."

Forgotten
How could these men and so called "friends" just leave without him?! I don't understand...
Poor guy.
A recreational diver forgotten at sea by a boat crew drifted five hours and prayed for his life before a Boy Scout on an excursion aboard a century-old ship spotted him.
